If you are as old as Shion, you meet one or the other believe and also get it tested. Born to the Marai she is familiar with the ritual of the pearls and the moonstone. She accepts the belief of the Lunari, however she doesn't practice this religion herself. She does feel connected to the moonlight as it affects the tides but it's not enough to be convinced of this way.
As a Vastaya she is more than familiar with the Spirit of Ionia and how it works. Denying it would be foolish and she knows how to treat it accordingly. However, she also likes to make an exception in regards of balance if it's profiting her own gain, hoping it might close an eye on her when she is far away from Ionia itself.
Living a life as long as Shions, she has seen many souls embracing the Lamb or the Wolf. She respects them both. Shion herself would always welcome Lamb. She knows when to accept defeat. But until that point she hunts with the Wolf.
When she first came to Buhru she was tested by the priestess of that time. Ever since then she has found true meaning in life, growth, and perpetual motion, in the Bearded Lady, in Nagakabouros. That is also, why she pays the Tithe whenever she leaves land and makes her way to the sea - if you can dive deep into the ocean just like Shion, you better take it not for some superstition or myth.

PERSONALITY » Like presumably every living being, Shion has two sides. One that is open to the public and one that she prefers to keep to herself, that hardly anyone knows and that she even hides. Let's start with the obvious. Shion is someone who has to prove himself. She wants to demonstrate her strength, which is a childish character trait, but clearly reflects her fighting spirit, which she likes to display. Be it a test of courage, a bet or a fight, it is there. Because she is very playful, especially in combat.
Even if she is always quick to deal with the physical, she is much more cautious with the social. She usually seems quite distant and impersonal, she reveals little or nothing about herself or her life -most humans don't understand it anyway, what it means to live longer than a hundred years. In the meantime it has even become a game for her to make a big secret of herself, so she reinvents herself again and again and likes to tell false facts about herself, becoming some kind of myth in the process. Something that only florishes in Bilgewater, spinning great adventures around er personality.
Her facial expressions and gestures are very difficult to read. Her face mainly because she usually has a 'resting bitch face' on which few emotions take place. Especially when she is mentally absent, she has just perfected this expression, but even in conversations, it is often difficult to see what is going on inside her - also she can look down on most humans, simply because of her physical height. This icy calm that she radiates with her facial expressions is often perceived as if she is annoyed or simply not intrested. In fact, she has a relatively short fuse and little patience. If you let her wait, for example, she quickly freaks out and many other little things can quickly annoy her, whereby she likes to vent her anger through destructive rage, for example by breaking a table into its individual components. Even if she has a clear problem with her violent outbursts of anger, these are usually only short-lived and then she is in a good mood again - well, not good, but at least neutral. In doing so, she never manages to lose sight of the actual goal, because she is always focused on the result and keeps the higher goal in mind even with all her playfulness.

Shions well-kept secret is her insecurity. She is not necessarily casual with people, sometimes even behaves strangely from one moment to the next and even lets herself be scared off by too much closeness, like a shy fish fleeing from a shadow. This uncertainty is mainly due to the fact that she has little empathy and so usually cannot assess how it affects others - humans are just so different. Interacting with people is not necessarily difficult for her, she just cannot assess how her own behavior is received, which is why she is quite playful and all about fun, but remains rather superficial. In the end, it is not really important to her how she affects others, which is why she can probably allow herself to act out her anger or her playful ways. Because she knows how to cover up her insecurity very well. What makes it difficult for her to deal with is the fact that she wears her heart on her tongue. Everything she thinks she expresses unfiltered and so often comes across as quite harsh. This doesn't mean she starts crying on the next shoulder and shares her hopes and dreams, but rather that she tells people right to their face if they suck.
Her greatest virtue, however, while reinventing herself, is her fairness and honesty. Such a little lie to have fun and cause confusion is okay for her, but in an emergency, she is an honest one that surprisingly sometimes speaks the truth very bluntly. Ultimately, this leads to the fact that you never know exactly when she will really talk about herself or when she will come up with something amusing again, but if in doubt you can just ask her.
Just make sure to always take her with a slight grain of salt and a winky face.

BEHAVIOR » Although everything about her is wet and cold, her temperament is clearly fiery in battle. She loves to fight, is not afraid of fighting and even seeks to prove herself. Accordingly, she is not particularly careful but rather presents herself clearly in the spotlight. So she doesn't necessarily want to act quietly and in secret, on the contrary, she finds it boring and doesn't like this somehow underhanded approach. She prefers a demanding but fair fight in which you measure yourself, improve and grow. For her, an opponent is not someone she has to kill, but rather a partner with whom she dances. It is a competition, a measure of strength from which the stronger emerges. For her, a fight isn't serious, so she always goes into a fight quite amused and plays a lot. That doesn't mean that she doesn't give everything to win, but despite that, she approaches it with a lot of calm and coolness. So she always looks confident and covers every little uncertainty that she might have with a lot of fun.
She combines two swords in close combat combined with some water magic, that she uses to manipulate her surroundings.
